Yes, this can actually be a blessing in disguise, if handled well. I continue to think that the President’s communications abilities are not his strong point. Here is how he can hit it out of the park and make his case in the last week of his administration.
I doubt he will be invited to address them, at least not in the House. Perhaps the Senate. And if not, he should invite the GOP Senators, and anyone who wishes, to the White House.
He needs to not explain, but to own the fact that his rally and his words gave cover for the criminals who stormed the Congress. He needs to say “I’m sorry,” and admit that he should have, but didn’t, see it coming.
Again, I don’t know if this is allowed as part of the procedure, but it seems to me that this evidence is germane. After all, part of the Impeachment Articles are that he denied the election results! Prove that he had a reasonable cause to have doubts about it.
Especially because now, it will be in front of the whole country and world. This is the Day in Court you wanted, Mr. President.
Not just for politics, but for America. There is a real threat here, and it must be stopped. They look to Trump for their motivation. He needs to attack them directly. Yes, attack.
Because THEY are the ones who did this to HIM by their actions. The President has a habit of taking stuff personally and needing to respond .. well he needs to respond to these groups by name now.

My counsel for the President is the following 5 points:
1. Defend and Praise your Republican supporters who are now critical of you. (I don’t mean Romney and the Nevers.) But from the luke-warmers to the angrier ones. Make public statements stating that you appreciate their support and hard work, and understand their frustration, and thank them for their candor. And leave it at that. Oh, and a full apology and reconciliation with Mike Pence.
Included in that would be to show your humanity and self awareness. Some regret for not seeing where it could lead will do amazing things for you. Being deeply saddened by the loss of life is a requirement of being a human.
2. Continue your Presidential work as if it’s the middle of 2018, with important things that need YOU to do them. This includes fixing the vaccines deployment bugs. It includes getting a new stimulus signed by you. It includes finishing any policy moves that have been neglected. And be very public and professional about it.
3. Order an investigation into the groups that instigated the riot. Take action against the Proud Boys and the hateful antisemitic thugs who were on full display.
4. Create a Presidential Commission to investigate election fraud. Just because Wednesday happened doesn’t mean funny business didn’t happen in the election. Don’t roll over and play dead, but do it with class, grace and in a way that no fair person could object to.
5. Treat Joe Biden as if he were member of your cabinet. Update him on all your policy actions now. His approval is not needed, but you will gain by being super gracious. And besides, for better or for worse, he will become President. We need him to succeed. Invite him to the White House and have a full press conference.
Please do these things and keep on communicating ONLY positive things. Make the people calling for the 25th Ammendment feel like the idiots they are by being super-Presidential up to and at the Inauguration.

The Secret to Saving the Election and Skyrocketing Your Ratings
Seriously?
Yes. I think people would be riveted to their screens.
Let's really get at the truth.
Let America see the proof of fraud, and see how it holds up, and really understand. I'm tired of hearing from each side how wrong/evil/dangerous the other is. Let's get the facts out there. I'm convinced there was massive corruption here, but lots of people aren't.
Even if it won't change a thing, the truth needs to come out, sooner rather than later. But later is still better than nothing, otherwise we're in deep you-know-what.
If the courts won't do it, YOU can do it.
Thanks!
